Drawing from Somatics and being a certified Trauma of Money facilitator, in this 8 week live workshop series Erin Monahan will teach you the foundations of healing your relationship with the themes of the 2nd House (money, resources, self-worth, and assets). Pay in full and donate to the scholarship fund to receive a BONUS 1:1 session!

Let me ask you...

Have been yearning to create a healthier, more secure, and grounded relationship with your money, self-worth, and personal resources? Do you desire to achieve financial security, but you desperately don't want to participate in capitalism?

Whether you're beyond burnt-out at your 9-5...

...or you're feeling stalled and stuck when it comes to charging money for your unique skills, talents, and gifts, maybe you've thought to yourself...
“I don’t believe I can do fulfilling work and get paid abundantly."

"How can I sell my services/products and be affordable and accessible without going broke?"

"Even though I'm drained at my current job and it's truly sucking my soul, it would be selfish to go after what I most deeply desire."

"I want to make an impact in the world, but I don’t see how I can do that without playing into capitalism."

"Why am I so bad with money? I feel like self-sabotage is getting in my way and I have no clue how to break these patterns.”

"If I had x amount of money I would be happy."

"I can't seem to save my money or get out of my credit card/ student loan debt. I feel like I'm drowning and overwhelmed."

"I hate capitalism and don't want to participate, but I need to pay my rent/mortgage and bills."

"I want to feel abundant, but I feel so much anxiety, stress, and lack."

...If you've ever whispered or rage-screamed any of these sentiments to yourself then this series was created with you in mind.

It is possible to cultivate financial and emotional well-being (they're intertwined)!

Despite what you believe about your relationship with money and finances there is room to shift, grow, and heal. And you don't have to do it alone.

A Space to Release Shame...

A lot of us have deep pain, shame, and trauma surrounding our money. Shame thrives in secrecy. Shame and secrecy are foundational to the exploitative power structures of imperialist, white supremacist, capitalist, patriarchy as bell hooks called it.

This series gets underneath the surface of your relationship with money, self-worth, resources, and assets, so that you can stop spending and relating to your energy and money in ways that drain you, and start baking your principles into your daily rituals and business practices.

Our nervous system is a key factor when it comes to our financial well-being. Many of us make choices about our resources and money from a flight, fight, or freeze response. This program will show you how to shift and grow not just mentally, but somatically.

Unlearn capitalist brainwashing...

In this educational and processing workshop series you'll learn how to feel more grounded, safe, and confident with your money, as well as with your personal resources and assets, so you can release any shame and guilt that might be holding you back from achieving your goals and desires in your work and/or personal life.

What if I told you...

There is a way to be aligned with your values and goals in a way that fuels and feeds your soul while taking an anti-capitalist approach...

It's completely in your power to create a brand, platform, and business rooted in consent, not exploitation...

You can be a creative and entrepreneur that acknowledges the stolen land you're doing business on, honors the original stewards, and redistributes your wealth accordingly in regards to your position of power...

You are capable of rewiring your subconscious beliefs and narratives that you were forced to adopt in order to survive in this white supremacist cisheteropatriarchal society...

You can access the support and encouragement you've been yearning for while being held in a nourishing container by someone who's been where you are...

Despite the fears and doubts, you are already moving towards healing. You just need to say YES to more fulfillment, pleasure, and presence when it comes to your money and your life.

If  you’re saying “abso-fucking-lutely" as you’re reading this then I invite you to join us inside...

Healing Through the Second House!

Give yourself permission to cultivate emotional and financial well-being all while connecting and healing in community. Like Chani Nicholas said, “Because we live in capitalism we can’t heal unless we have the material means to do so.”

What is this program all about?

Healing Through the Second House is an education-based and somatic workshop series for spiritual, anti-capitalist creatives and entrepreneurs who desire a more secure relationship with their money, want to learn how to make money without compromising their anti-capitalist values, yearn to stop equating their productivity and income with their self-worth, and crave processing and connecting with like-minded community.

Who is this program for?

This is for you if:
  •  you're a creative or entrepreneur
  • you're a witch, healer, spiritual guide, Astrologer, Tarot Reader, Palmist (etc)
  • you're a teacher/educator/speaker who'd like to create an income outside of your 9-5, but struggle with feelings of guilt/shame around charging people for your knowledge, gifts, and skills
  • you're a coach and/or therapist
  • you're ready to heal your relationship with the topics of money, self-worth, personal assets, and resources
  • you want to unlearn oppressive conditioning around these topics, and explore a new relationship with scarcity and abundance from a trauma-informed approach
  • you're sick of hearing "your vibe attracts your tribe," "money is energy," "you have to invest to receive"
  • you're yearning for a space that leaves no room for spiritual bypassing
  • you're longing to build like-minded anti-capitalist community where you can be vulnerable, speak your truth, and brainstorm alternatives to "business as usual"

This is not for you if:

  • you're not open to learning, shifting, and growing alongside community
  • you're not enthused by the idea of receiving practical knowledge and compassionate, emotional support in order to experience more financial safety and well-being
  • you're looking for easy answers on how to make 10k overnight
  • your motto is "positive vibes only"
  • you're not willing to have intimate, uncomfortable discussions about power, privilege, and oppression
  • you're not interested in checking your privilege and power
  • you're not aligned with abolition, reparations for Black people, and returning The Land to the original stewards

Andia Katz's Experience

"The Trauma-informed money mindset is seriously the most amazing thing in existence for me right now. THANK YOU for creating this important content! I sent you a voice note on IG with some of my thoughts as soon as I finished. This is everything I have been searching for. I have done so much research on this topic, yet I have not seen anyone do it from this perspective, so thank you! If you decide to release it to the world I will tell everyone about it because this is essential information that people need to be hearing, thinking about, and discussing!"

-Tessa Yoder

The Structure

Each session will go a little something like this:

  • welcome, hellos, check-ins, and somatic grounding exercise/meditation
  • educational presentation on the topic of focus
  • break-out groups or pairs for intimate discussion/processing
  • large group reflections and shares
  • overview of the following week, and adieus

The Thursday prior to each session, a variety of prompts, resources (articles, podcasts, youtube videos, social media posts, etc.), and reflection questions will be uploaded to your Podia portal. I'll send an email reminder when they're posted. This isn't mandatory and won't be necessary for your to follow along in our sessions, but can be absorbed on your own time to deepen your learning. We may reference the resources in class, but please feel no pressure to read/absorb everything I send out.

This is coaching and peer support. Not therapy.

This group is a space to receive education, guidance, coaching, and peer support. I'm a certified Trauma of Money facilitator with a background in anti-oppressive facilitation. I've taken programs through Oregon Humanities and AORTA, as well as studied under Kenya Budd a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion consultant and anti-racist educator in so-called Portland, Oregon. I've also invested in workshops like "Business Beyond Profit" led by Toi Smith, Gender 101, Racial and Social Justice 101 and 202 by Ericka Hart.

I'm not a mental health professional and this series will not be therapy, although it can be therapeutic.

Healing is non-linear, so this group doesn't promise that you'll leave fully healed from your money trauma and attachment wounds. This group will aid and support you on your ongoing healing journey, teach you the foundational tools and strategies for developing a secure relationship with yourself, your money, your relationships, and the world around you, give you a space to work out your entrepreneurial/business questions when it comes to money and charging for your work, as well as help you connect with people who are on this path too with similar values and goals.

Hayley Clifford on healing her relationship with money and entrepreneurship:

“I knew my money trauma was keeping me from starting my business a little bit because I felt weird charging money. It’s like that capitalist crux where you feel icky doing it, so I kinda knew it was a thing, but I don’t think I really realized how blocked I was with it.

"I think #girlboss culture was also blocking me and a huge reason why I have icky feelings about being an entrepreneur.

Because usually it’s kinda done in a way where women are taking on all these problematic characteristics and trying to emulate patriarchal business standards. And there are other ways to do business. Working with Erin allowed me to reconceptualize that.”

No Spiritual Bypassing Zone

Healing Through the Second House offers a Trauma-Informed Approach to Money, Abundance, and Manifestation

I'm trained in the Trauma of Money Method, which means you'll be guided to create financial safety and wellbeing through a compassionate process of healing your trauma. TOM is a unique financial literacy approach (of which I'm a certified facilitator) that brings together the psychology of trauma and our relationship with money. This will allow you to transform your relationship with money from one of avoidance and shame, to one of openness and understanding.

Lifetime Access!

Love learning, but detest the typical grind culture of academia?

This is a space where your pace is honored. Revisit the recordings as often as you'd like in your personal Podia portal.

Resources, materials, and PDFs will be shared throughout this program, but it's not homework. You're a whole human with a whole-ass life. That's why you'll receive LIFETIME ACCESS to the materials and resources shared, so you can absorb them on your own time.

WE NEED TO IMAGINE EQUITABLE FUTURES.

That’s where YOU come in. You know in your heart that an equitable world means abolition, reparations for Black people, and the land returned to the original stewards.

I don’t have to explain to you how important it is that we need to challenge and dismantle oppressive systems that create, maintain, and protect billionaires. You already know that we don’t need anymore Jeff Bezos, Steve Jobs, Warren Kanders, Richard Bransons, or Mark Zuckerbergs.

We’re on the same page about the fact that we’re living through transformational times and that we all have a unique role to play when it comes to impacting the outcomes for future generations.

SYSTEMIC AND SOCIAL OPPRESSIVE BARRIERS EXIST AND THE PERSONAL IS POLITICAL.

There are some “industry leaders” out there who harp on “abundance” and “manifesting” without any regard for intergenerational, systemic, or interpersonal trauma. Or they dribble on about how that you can make millions overnight without any analysis of their position and identities in an imperialist, white supremacist, patriarchal, capitalist society as bell hooks called it.

Even more, the world has conditioned those of us who hold marginalized identities to pander to everyone else’s comfort and needs, to make ourselves small, and to not feel comfortable with actively getting our needs met and setting boundaries. Reciprocity requires boundaries and self-advocacy.

Or there’s a small, insidious voice inside that whispers, “You don't deserve that. You could never have that because x, y, z.”

Well, we’re interrupting that voice and this plague of self-doubt, uncertainty, and insecurity.

Hey, I'm Erin!

I'm a trauma-informed, astrology-obsessed, mindset coach, certified Trauma of Money facilitator, writer, educator, entrepreneur, and the founder of Terra Incognita Media. I help guide spiritual, witchy, anti-girlboss, anti-capitalist entrepreneurs heal from oppressive beliefs and move towards building livelihoods and businesses that are rooted in security and sustainability.

I can't wait to meet you and support you in healing your relationship with all the themes of the second house!

Frequently Asked Questions

You’ve got questions. I’ve got answers.

What's the second house?

In astrology the second house reflects your values, gifts, what you have to offer, your assets, self-worth and esteem, your material possessions, and personal finances that support your central life force and well-being.

How do I know this won't be another money workshop series about filling your morning with positive affirmations and crafting a vision board?

I totally get this. I for one have been so fucking frustrated and grossed out at the way many programs focus solely on "your thoughts create your reality." While *to an extent* this is true, it's also true that systemic oppression is VERY REAL and we need to acknowledge and account for this. Capitalism, white supremacy, and patriarchy are constants in our lives and constantly traumatic. This can't be ignored. Also, it's true that positive affirmations are helpful when we're working to re-wire our brains out of oppressive beliefs, AND only doing this is simply not going cut it when it comes to healing from trauma, which is what we need to do in order to create a new relationship and reality with our money.

If you feel like you've tried everything, if you feel like you've been engaged in your own healing practices, you've signed up for all the free webinars, you want to make an income, but fear coming across as greedy or exploitative, if you've been trying to figure out how to be your own boss without falling into capitalist modes of operating, but you're stuck and feel frozen when it comes to taking any kind of action...this program is your chance to change all of that.

Are there refunds?

I don't offer refunds because I trust that you are making a conscious and informed choice about whether or not this is an aligned investment for you and your business. If you have any questions, concerns, or hesitations about whether or not this workshop is for you, and this section doesn't answer them, I absolutely invite you to DM me on Instagram or email me at erin@erinkmonahan.com -- ask away!

How do you approach mindset work and what sets you apart from other mindset coaches?

When I started out as an entrepreneur I was really frustrated at the seemingly subtle gaslighting going on because standard mindset work doesn't get underneath the layers of trauma that are really at the root of what's keeping us stuck.

So, I created Vesta Business School because it's *exactly* what I needed when I was a baby entrepreneur.

This workshop series pulls from what I teach inside Vesta. We don't stay surface-level. You're going to learn how to let go of patterns and narratives that no longer serve you, how to adopt new ones, and how to cultivate long-lasting financial and emotional security, so you can heal, grow, and actually make money doing work you love.

Is this program for newbie or seasoned entrepreneurs?

Absolutely both!

These teachings have helped folks who are new to entrepreneurship and feel icky about even calling themselves an entrepreneur, and it's helped folks who have been in business for years and still feel gross about making money and sales.

Whether you are in the very beginning stages and you're still figuring out your business structure, or you've been making an income from your business and still struggle with rectifying your relationship with capitalism and needing to make money, this program will provide you with in-depth support to heal from the root.

If I'm not an entrepreneur will this space benefit me?

Abso-fucking-lutely! This workshop is beneficial to you even if you're nowhere near building your own business (yet), or have no interest in entrepreneurship. We all live inside capitalism and therefore all need to make money to survive and thrive.

If you struggle with guilt and shame around resources/wealth/finances/money, this workshop series will definitely be supportive to you.

I believe this knowledge is a game-changer for anyone who strives to be anti-capitalist and heal their relationship with money, and this should be information we're taught in schools from a young age.

What does "somatic" mean?

"Soma" means body. Somatics is healing from a bottom-up approach instead of a top-down approach (starting with my mind).

In the 1960s trauma used to be known as a brain disorder or disease that at best could be treated with drugs. The aim was to try to help people with their “negative thoughts."

Peter Levine says, "Trauma goes on in the mind and brain sure, but it’s something that most importantly happens in the body. When we’re startled, frightened, our jaw tightens, our guts twist, our shoulders come up. The body keeps the score. The body sends signals to the brain that says threat is here and see if you can bear it."

Healing trauma somatically allows us to find new experiences in our bodies that contradict those experiences of overwhelming helplessness, fear, and fright.

Trauma becomes stuck energy if we don't know how or aren't able to release it. It’s like we’re still in the trauma and we can’t come into the here and now. Trauma prevents us from feeling fully alive in the body.

Healing somatically isn't about trying to erase trauma or change our thoughts. It's about creating new experiences in our bodies - experiences that contradict those of fear, helplessness, and overwhelm.

Through a somatic approach we can access the here and now. We can feel alive and present, make clearer and more aligned choices, move towards a fuller life and manifest what we truly want and desire, so we can stop living in a conditioned existence.

Corinna Rosella of Rise Up! Goodwitch says:

"Erin is a business coach who honors clients with feminist and anti-capitalist values, and imbues in her coaching sessions her own lived experience as a small business owner. She is a great listener and will advocate for you advocating for yourself. She holds no illusions about capitalism as a oppressive and unreasonable system, and how it affects those of us with radical values while trying to work for ourselves. If you need help getting your business off the ground, or someone to assist you in reassessing your work so far, Erin is a great coach full of resources to help guide you. "
