The problem with a lot of what you see on Instagram and with "spiritual influencers" in general (nothing wrong at all with influencers -- it's a legit job -- but let's just call it what it is), is that their "insights" or "lessons" are void of nuance and complexity.
They simplify things that deserve complexity.
And more than anything they're usually white women bragging about how they "manifested" their lifestyle, their clothes, their travels, their husband, their baby, their at-home infrared sauna, their high-tech air filtration system for their dog that cured his allergies, etc. without impressing upon their audience that their whiteness is a main ingredient of that manifestation.
You'll never hear me say: "I manifested my apartment because I journal, practice gratitude, and cultivate a relationship with my spirit guides!"
While I do partake in those things, the way I "manifested" my apartment is by being a cishet, white woman from an a upper-middle class background, who has a bachelor's degree, benefits from gentrification, redlining, ongoing colonization, is neurotypical and able-bodied, and I really could go on.
