That’s where YOU come in. You know in your heart that an equitable world means abolition, reparations for Black people, and the land returned to the original stewards.
I don’t have to explain to you how important it is that we need to challenge and dismantle oppressive systems that create, maintain, and protect billionaires. You already know that we don’t need anymore Jeff Bezos, Steve Jobs, Warren Kanders, Richard Bransons, or Mark Zuckerbergs.
We’re on the same page about the fact that we’re living through transformational times and that we all have a unique role to play when it comes to impacting the outcomes for future generations.
SYSTEMIC AND SOCIAL OPPRESSIVE BARRIERS EXIST AND THE PERSONAL IS POLITICAL.
There are some “industry leaders” out there who harp on “abundance” and “manifesting” without any regard for intergenerational, systemic, or interpersonal trauma. Or they dribble on about how that you can make millions overnight without any analysis of their position and identities in an imperialist, white supremacist, patriarchal, capitalist society as bell hooks called it.
Even more, the world has conditioned those of us who hold marginalized identities to pander to everyone else’s comfort and needs, to make ourselves small, and to not feel comfortable with actively getting our needs met and setting boundaries. Reciprocity requires boundaries and self-advocacy.
Or there’s a small, insidious voice inside that whispers, “You don't deserve that. You could never have that because x, y, z.”
Well, we’re interrupting that voice and this plague of self-doubt, uncertainty, and insecurity.
